# Agent Portal - Assistant

## Here is a quick FAQ/troubleshoot for assistant's creating their Agent Portal account

1. In order for an assistant to create an account they need to be linked to an agent's profile as an employee
2. Their email needs to be in the CORE system. If the email is missing in CORE and a person goes through the registration process, they will see a 404 error message
3. A good way to check to see if an agent is able to create a profile for the Agent Portal is by searching for their party record. If a record exists, they are good-to-go. 
     1. Click on the Parties menu
     2. Select Roles to Search - choose Employee (not CORE Employee)
     3. Search by Name
     4. Click Submit

 

*8 STEPS*

 1\. Open the agent's **Profile.**

 2\. Scroll down and click **Add New Employee.**

 3\. Enter in the **First Name.**

 4\. Enter in the **Last Name.**

 5\. Add the person's **Title.**

 6\. Add the person's **Email.**

 7\. Click **Save.**

 8\. That's it. You're done.

 1\. Assistants can create their account by clicking on the **Register** button.

 2\. Click **Account Type.**

 3\. Select **Assistant.**

 4\. Enter in the **First Name.**

 5\. Enter in the **Last Name.**

 6\. The email address needs to be in CORE. This is a verification so that the person requesting access to the portal is known by the BGA.

 7\. The user needs to create and confirm their password.

 8\. Click **Create Account.**

 9\. That's it. You're done.

 1\. The first step is to click on the **Parties menu.**

 2\. Click on **'Select Roles to Search.'**

 3\. Click **Employee.**

 4\. Click **Search by name.**

 5\. Type **Jessica and Press Enter.**

 6\. Click **Submit.**

 7\. Scroll down and **Select 'Jessica Simpson.'**

 8\. Her party record is enough to verify that she is able to register for the Agent Portal, but it's always a good thing to double-check their email address.
